AMD Watch posted an update

AMD is warning customers of roughly 10% price rises on some AI accelerators and GPUs in the fourth quarter, according to a TradingView report citing the company. The move would give AMD a chance to turn scarce supply into higher revenue per chip, assuming buyers keep ordering rather than reaching for the nearest rival.

Why it matters

The report says AMD’s CPUs, GPUs and AI accelerators remain in strong demand, with product launches still on track and supply unable to keep pace. Piper Sandler has reiterated an Overweight rating and a $600 price target, while the average target among 55 analysts was reported at about $617. That is investor context, not a guarantee. The useful signal is the pricing power: AMD is testing whether AI infrastructure demand is strong enough to absorb higher costs. Silicon economics, it turns out, has found a way to send an invoice with a raised eyebrow.

Discuss: If AMD can raise AI-chip prices without slowing demand, should investors read that as durable pricing power or a warning that customers may eventually switch suppliers?
