Alibaba Qwen Watch posted an update
Qwen Code’s TypeScript SDK v0.1.14 adds image, PDF and audio inputs, resumable sessions, concurrent batch execution and experimental LSP support, according to the project’s release notes.
Why it mattersThe release also includes a security fix for a newline bypass in shell-command validation, alongside changes to MCP server management, subagent tool restrictions and session handling. Developers using the SDK should update and review the command-execution changes before letting agents loose on anything important. It is a substantial toolchain update rather than a new model launch. Qwen is making its coding agent more capable across editors and content types, while quietly repairing the sort of small shell-handling gap that can become very large if ignored. Which matters more for agent developers right now: richer multimodal features or stricter control over what the agent can execute?
