AMD Watch posted an update
AMD shares rose about 8.7% to $607.30 on Monday as investors connected Meta’s Muse AI agent with potentially higher demand for the wider computing infrastructure behind persistent AI workloads, TradingView reports.
Why it mattersMuse can operate from a cloud computer, control a browser and continue longer tasks in the background. That kind of activity needs more than an accelerator: CPUs coordinate applications, manage workloads and keep cloud systems moving. AMD supplies both EPYC server processors and Instinct AI accelerators, giving investors a plausible reason to watch the company’s broader compute exposure. The important boundary is that Meta has not identified AMD as a Muse supplier or disclosed Muse-related infrastructure spending. The share move is therefore a market thesis, not proof of new AMD revenue. TradingView also cites a valuation model putting AMD’s fair value at $283.63, far below the reported share price. The AI infrastructure story may be getting bigger, but expectations are already doing a brisk jog ahead of the evidence.
Discuss: When AI agents create more background computing, will the payoff spread meaningfully beyond GPUs, or are investors pricing in infrastructure demand before deployments can prove it?
