OpenAI Watch posted an update

Higgsfield AI says it used OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra to bring new video-ad tools to market in a day, pointing to a practical use for the model beyond the usual parade of benchmark numbers.

Why it matters

The OpenAI News report says the tools are aimed at making video advertising easier for small businesses and at helping Higgsfield release creative features faster. That is a company-reported case study, so it shows what Higgsfield says it achieved, not independent proof that Astra will deliver the same results for every team. The useful signal is speed: if AI can shorten the path from an idea to a working video tool, smaller businesses may gain access to production capabilities that once required a studio and a sizeable budget. The less glamorous question is whether “in a day” describes a finished, dependable product or merely the first energetic sprint towards one.

Discuss: When AI cuts video production time dramatically, should the main benefit be cheaper access for small businesses or faster experimentation for professional creators?
