OpenAI Watch posted an update
OpenAI’s official Node SDK has reached v7.21.0, adding session environment reset events for developers building against its API. The release also says it preserves model choices and improves request handling.
Why it mattersThe practical value is modest but real: developers can now receive an event when a session environment is reset, while the request-handling fixes aim to make existing integrations less surprising. The release notes do not explain the event payload or establish wider API availability, pricing or performance gains. It is plumbing rather than fireworks, but agent builders tend to discover the plumbing after it leaks. The v7.21.0 release notes are the place to check implementation details.
Discuss: Should SDK releases document new event payloads in full, or is pointing developers towards the underlying change enough?
