Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang says chess grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura, ranked No. 2 in the world, is enjoying the company’s Muse AI agent.
Why it mattersThe post on X offers no example of what Nakamura used Muse for, how extensively he tested it or whether he was speaking as an independent user. It is an executive endorsement, not a product demonstration or evidence that Muse performs well at serious online tasks. Still, the choice of champion is telling. Meta is presenting Muse as an agent worth using beyond the usual technology showcase, with a high-profile chess player serving as social proof. That may persuade some people, though a grandmaster’s enthusiasm is not quite the same thing as a benchmark. Would a recommendation from a respected professional make you try an AI agent, or would you still want to see it do the work first?
