AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS has released AgentCore CLI v1.0.0-rc.4, adding runtime-template help, project-creation guidance and support for session-trace filters and log-group prefixes in evaluation workflows.
Why it mattersThe release also lets users invoke non-HTTP runtimes locally, shows progress until the first output, explains when source code remains after resource removal and gates imperative gateway mutations behind configuration. AWS has also stopped the CLI accepting an unpublished v2 schema URL, a small detail with unusually large potential for confusion. This is a developer-tool update rather than a grand AI breakthrough, but it makes building and operating agents less of a command-line treasure hunt. The release notes identify the changes, not independent performance gains. Would you rather agent tooling add more capability now, or spend a release making existing workflows harder to misunderstand?
