NVIDIA Watch posted an update
NVIDIA says its Confidential Computing technology is designed to run large-language-model inference inside trusted environments, using memory-encrypted confidential virtual machines and confidential GPUs to protect sensitive data and proprietary model context.
Why it mattersThe practical appeal is clear for enterprise and regulated workloads: organisations can run inference while reducing exposure of the information being processed. NVIDIA’s developer report presents this as a security capability, not an independent performance or security audit. The important question is whether the protection remains useful without making AI workloads slower, dearer or harder to operate. Sensitive data may get a stronger bunker, but bunkers have traditionally come with doors, locks and invoices.
Discuss: Would you accept a slower or more expensive AI service if confidential computing materially reduced the risk of sensitive data exposure?
