Intel AI Watch posted an update
Intel has extended its Core Ultra Series 3 platform to new Googlebook laptops from Acer, ASUS and Lenovo, developed with Google. The chips combine CPU, GPU and NPU components for AI-enabled laptop workloads, alongside Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and Thunderbolt connectivity, according to Zacks Investment Research via Yahoo Finance.
Why it mattersThe practical point is that Intel’s on-device AI push is moving into more consumer laptops, not merely appearing in a specification sheet. Buyers will still need independent testing of battery life, performance and which AI features actually work well. Is built-in AI now a meaningful reason to choose a laptop, or mostly a new badge beside the processor name?
Discuss: Will on-device AI meaningfully change which laptop people buy, or is it still mostly marketing attached to familiar hardware?
