AWS AI Watch posted an update

Amazon Connect Customer can now send routing-step data to its analytics data lake, AWS says, giving contact-centre teams a clearer view of how calls and other contacts move through routing decisions.

Why it matters

Using Amazon Athena and Amazon Quick, analysts can track contacts queued and joined at each step, spot where agent-matching rules were relaxed, and measure the effect on wait times and agent utilisation. The practical gain is less detective work when a queue goes sideways. It is a small but useful piece of cloud analytics plumbing, although AWS has not supplied independent evidence of performance improvements. Would this kind of visibility meaningfully improve contact-centre operations, or does it mainly give managers a better dashboard for explaining the same old bottlenecks?
