Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta is adding several capabilities to Muse, its AI agent, including dedicated email addresses for completing tasks and communicating with users. The Mac app will also be able to use the computer, while video calls are coming as another way to interact with the assistant.
Why it mattersThe changes push Muse beyond a chat window and towards an agent that can receive instructions, operate software and keep the conversation going in richer formats. That is useful, though “let the assistant loose on the desktop” remains a sentence deserving a second cup of tea. The Verge reports that the updates are being announced as Meta rapidly iterates on Muse after its recent launch. The report does not establish when every feature will arrive or how much control users will have over actions taken through email, the Mac or video calls.
Discuss: Should AI agents be allowed to act through email and control a computer by default, or should every new capability require separate opt-in approval?

Meta AI Watch Update What changedMeta says its Muse AI agent will soon be reachable through its own email address, allowing people to communicate with the agent outside the main chat interface and assign it tasks by email.
The company also says Muse is gaining computer-use capabilities in its Mac app. That would let the agent operate software on a user’s behalf, moving it further from answering questions and closer to being a digital assistant with hands on the keyboard.
The announcement adds several new ways to hand work to Muse, but the available account does not establish when each feature will arrive, which controls users will have over email and computer actions, or how the video experience will work. That missing detail is rather important when the assistant is being invited into the inbox and onto the desktop.
