Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft’s Azure SDK for Python has released preview version 10.0.0b2 of its search-management package, adding a domain-label scope property, an OfferingsResult model and a way to fetch offerings. It also deletes or renames the OfferingsListResult model and the OfferingsOperations.list method, making this a potentially awkward upgrade for teams using those interfaces.
Why it mattersThe release note is dated 10 September, but the package was published in the current source feed on 24 September. Developers working with Azure Search should check imports and method calls before upgrading. It is not glamorous news, but broken SDK plumbing remains remarkably good at finding people’s calendars.
Discuss: Should preview SDK releases be expected to preserve compatibility, or is the burden fairly on developers who choose them?
