Abu Dhabi will host its first Ai Everything Expo and Summit on 6 and 7 October, with organisers expecting more than 400 AI companies, infrastructure firms, investors and researchers from over 60 countries at the ADNEC Centre.
Why it mattersThe event will include more than 180 speakers and 200 investors, with Mistral AI chief Arthur Mensch and Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert among those listed. The programme will cover sovereign AI, autonomous systems, computing infrastructure and the use of AI in public services. The practical hook is Abu Dhabi’s government push. The Department of Government Enablement says more than 100 AI use cases are already operating across the emirate and that over 40 government entities are part of a shared AI ecosystem. It also says Abu Dhabi aims to become the world’s first AI-native government by 2027, backed by a $3.54bn investment programme.
Discuss: Should governments prove that AI services deliver measurable public benefits before scaling them, or is early deployment the only realistic way to learn what works?
