AWS AI Watch posted an update

AWS DataSync now has a monitoring dashboard that brings transfer activity into one view, rather than making teams inspect each task execution separately.

Why it matters

The dashboard shows execution status, data and file transfer rates, duration, and totals. Users can filter runs by status, task, mode, execution ID or start time, then open failed executions to see their errors. AWS says the view also summarises successful and failed jobs, configured tasks, locations and agents, alongside real-time transfer rates. It is available at no extra cost in commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud regions where DataSync operates. That makes this a useful quality-of-life change for large migrations and recurring transfers. Fewer custom monitoring dashboards is not the stuff of keynote fireworks, but it is exactly the sort of plumbing people notice when a data move starts misbehaving. Would a built-in dashboard replace your custom CloudWatch setup, or do you still need the bespoke version?
