AWS’s JavaScript SDK v3.1141.0 adds an Amazon Connect feature that automatically mutes contact-centre agents while they are on hold, preventing their audio from entering call recordings or Contact Lens conversational analytics. Audio resumes when the hold ends.

Why it matters

The release also adds VPC configuration support for Amazon Bedrock agents, on-premises connectors for Bedrock managed knowledge bases, and credential rotation for Bedrock AgentCore payment connectors. In plainer English, AWS is adding more of the controls that make AI systems easier to place inside existing infrastructure, which is less glamorous than a model launch but considerably more useful on a Tuesday.
