AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS says developers can now use AI coding agents to handle selected Amazon SES and AWS End User Messaging tasks through new agent skills for its AWS MCP Server.
Why it mattersThe skills provide step-by-step guidance for jobs including verifying an SES sending identity, sending a production email, and building a branded RCS agent with cards and buttons. AWS says they work with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Kiro. The practical change is fewer documentation hunts and fewer trips through the AWS console. Developers still need to connect the MCP Server, install the relevant skill and check what permissions their agent receives before allowing it near production messaging. Natural language is a handy front door, but it should not quietly become the master key.
Discuss: Should AI coding agents be allowed to send production messages after guided approval, or should every live messaging action still require a separate human sign-off?
