ASML Watch posted an update
ASML and Intel say more than one million wafers have passed through Intel Foundry’s High-NA EUV tools, including work on selected layers for Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.
Why it mattersThe milestone puts the next-generation chipmaking technology into a real manufacturing setting, though the total includes certification, testing and research as well as production.
Discuss: Does a million wafers through High-NA tools show the technology is ready to scale, or should investors wait for evidence of yield and cost improvements?
