A user report in LM Studio’s bug tracker says MTP drafter models fail to load or crash during inference in builds numbered 2.46.0 and later. The report says standard, non-MTP models still work on version 2.45.0, making the older version a possible fallback for anyone affected.

Why it matters

This is an unconfirmed community report, not a confirmed LM Studio defect. It gives Windows 10/11 as the affected environment and says GPU acceleration is required to reproduce the failure, but supplies no logs or independent reproduction. If you rely on MTP drafters, test before upgrading or keep a working setup available rather than assuming the report establishes a widespread fault.
