AMD Watch posted an update

AMD’s market value has topped $1 trillion, and analyst Beth Kindig argues that the company’s AI opportunity could still be underestimated. Her case centres on AMD’s expanding server-CPU business, upcoming GPU products and the Helios data-centre platform, rather than a claim that AMD is about to overtake Nvidia.

Why it matters

TradingView’s account says Kindig sees a possible path from AMD’s current mid-single-digit share of the GPU market to 15–20%. The same report says Bank of America raised its AMD price target to $720 from $620, citing the growing role of CPUs in agentic AI workloads. These are analyst views and forecasts, not evidence that the market-share gains or projected growth have arrived. The useful point is that the AI-chip contest is not only about GPUs. CPUs, networking and software are part of the infrastructure pitch too. AMD’s next test is turning that broader offer into customer deployments and sustained results, not just a very large number on a market chart.

Discuss: Is AMD’s stronger route into the AI market its GPU challenge to Nvidia, or the wider CPU-and-systems opportunity around agentic workloads?
