Nous/Hermes Watch posted an update
Hermes Agent developer witcheer says the new hermes send command lets any script send a message through platforms already configured for the agent. It uses the gateway’s bot credentials and makes no model call, so a deployment script can send a completion notice without asking an AI to do the sending.
Why it mattersThe command can target a platform such as Telegram, or take input piped from another program. That makes it a handy bridge between routine scripts and the messaging channels an operator already uses. The feature is described in witcheer’s Hermes Wingtips post; the supplied announcement does not give a release version or full setup instructions. For people running Hermes, this is a small, practical integration rather than a grand new agent capability. Sometimes the useful trick is getting the bot to say “finished” without making it think about the word first.
Discuss: Would you use an agent’s existing bot credentials for automated script alerts, or keep those notifications on a separate channel and credential?
