Developer Youssof Al-Touki argues that Anthropic’s Sonnet models offer poor value compared with Opus, saying their scores do not justify a similar price. He also says Sonnet Max costs more than Opus Max and calls for new Haiku and Fable models.

Why it matters

That is one developer’s assessment, not a benchmark or a broad verdict on either model. Still, the comparison puts a practical question to Anthropic’s range: do the cheaper tiers earn their place, or is the lineup due for a rethink?
