OpenAI Watch posted an update
OpenAI is reportedly testing an always-on ChatGPT assistant called “o”, after a reference to it briefly appeared among benefits listed for the $100 Pro plan. BleepingComputer says the listing also mentioned more Work and Codex usage, maximum memory and 100GB of file storage.
Why it mattersA configuration entry mentioning an “o” display name and email suffix hints at possible email capabilities, but that is an inference, not a confirmed feature. OpenAI has not confirmed the assistant, and the plan details could change. If it can keep working while you are away, the question is what tasks it would handle and how much permission it would need.
Discuss: Should an always-on assistant be able to act across your email by default, or only with approval each time?
