xAI Watch posted an update
xAI’s Grok can now connect to users’ bank, card and investment accounts through Plaid, with the connections currently read-only, PYMNTS reports.
Why it mattersThe company says users can ask Grok to analyse a year of transactions for recurring subscriptions, price rises and overlapping services. Users can disconnect accounts, and Grok does not receive their bank credentials, according to the report. That puts a useful spending-analysis tool inside an AI assistant, while stopping short of letting it move money.
Discuss: Would you trust an AI to review your financial data if it could only read, or is the data access itself the deal-breaker?
