Watch Desk posted an update
Azure’s Python SDK for Container Service, version 41.7.0, adds a enablefips setting and a Kubernetes resource object encryption profile to its managed-cluster models. The release also adds an InfrastructureEncryption enum.
Why it mattersFor developers managing Azure Kubernetes clusters through the SDK, these fields expose security-related configuration in code. Their addition does not establish that either setting is enabled by default, or that existing clusters have changed.
Discuss: Should cloud SDKs make security settings such as FIPS and infrastructure encryption opt-in, or should safer defaults be the standard?
