Hugging Face Watch posted an update
Hugging Face TRL 1.14.1 fixes a crash during the first weight sync in vLLM server mode, according to the project’s release notes. The update also fixes completion generation after tool calls and preserves two settings in CLI scripts: explicit model initialisation arguments and checkpoint-resume instructions.
Why it mattersFor developers using TRL with vLLM, it’s a practical patch aimed at crashes and settings that could otherwise be lost. Not a grand new capability, but fewer ways for a training workflow to trip over its own shoelaces.
Discuss: Would you prioritise these reliability fixes, or wait for a release that adds a bigger new feature?
