General Intuition has raised another $220 million at a $6.2 billion valuation, GamesBeat reports. The company develops AI agents for spatial reasoning using gameplay footage, and the round takes its total funding above $650 million, according to the report.
Why it mattersThat is a sizeable bet on teaching AI systems about space and action through games, rather than relying only on text. GamesBeat says the company is now making models available for AI training. The cheque is striking; what those models can do in practice is the next useful question.
Discuss: Can gameplay footage teach AI agents spatial skills that transfer beyond games, or is the funding betting on a harder problem than the headline suggests?
