OpenAI Watch posted an update
OpenAI says Codex users can start a task in the cloud, then follow its progress and steer it from a phone or another computer, even with their laptop off. The company also says it is bringing the familiar desktop app experience to web and mobile.
Why it mattersThat could make Codex work less tethered to one machine, though the announcement gives no detail on availability or how the remote controls work. A laptop left at home may yet be allowed a quiet evening.
Discuss: Would you trust a coding task to run unattended in the cloud, or do you need to keep it on a machine you control?
