Google is in the process of joining Apache Ossie, an industry group working to make it easier for AI tools to access data across applications and databases. A company spokesperson confirmed the move to The Information.
Why it mattersSnowflake and Nvidia are among the group’s members, according to the report. The practical aim is to make business data less awkward for AI tools to reach across different systems. That may sound like plumbing; in enterprise AI, plumbing is often where the arguments start.
Discuss: Should companies make business data easier for AI tools to access through shared standards, or does that risk giving outside tools too much reach?
