Liquid AI has launched d1, a model for fast, structured decisions that the company says outscored Jev on Hugging Face’s Decision Index. GIGAZINE reports that d1 is available through Liquid AI’s API for free for now, with pricing still to come.
Why it mattersLiquid AI also claims stronger multilingual results, better resistance to prompt injection and support for longer inputs. Those are company-reported benchmark claims, not independent proof that d1 will perform better in everyday use. Still, the new entrant gives developers another option to test in the growing field of AI models built to classify and decide, rather than chat.
Discuss: For bounded jobs such as routing or classification, would you choose a specialist decision model over a general-purpose language model, and what evidence would make you trust it?
