Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft’s security programme for Ignite 2026 puts AI agents and the systems around them front and centre. The event runs in San Francisco and online from 17 to 20 November, with a Security Pre-Day on 16 November.
Why it mattersMicrosoft lists sessions on securing agents from code to runtime, managing their identities and protecting the data they use. Another track looks at security operations built around agents, including how they might change response workflows. There are also hands-on labs and sessions on AI-ready security foundations. That is a useful map of where Microsoft wants the security conversation to go, though a session catalogue is still a promise of discussion, not proof of working safeguards.
Discuss: Should organisations prioritise securing agents already in use, or get identity and data controls in order before deploying more?
