Bharati Vidyapeeth has built online technology courses into engineering education across four campuses, including pathways in AI, data science and cloud computing, according to a Coursera case study.
Why it mattersCoursera says students used those skills in projects including an AI-assisted academic support chatbot and an automated attendance analytics system. More than 1,500 students reported greater confidence in placements, internships and technical interviews, the company says. It is a useful example of how a university is connecting coursework with practical projects, though the outcomes come from Coursera’s case study.
Discuss: Should universities prioritise industry certificates and guided projects, or put more effort into building those skills into their own curricula?
