Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Catrin Hinkel, Microsoft Switzerland’s chief executive, says 84% of Swiss AI users treat AI output as a starting point, not a final answer. She made the point in an interview with Focus, summarised by Microsoft on 1 October.
Why it mattersHinkel argues that businesses need to connect fragmented data and rethink workflows, rather than simply automate existing processes. She says AI’s value depends on fitting it into everyday work and core business processes. That is a useful reminder that workplace AI is not just a software purchase: changing how people and systems work together is part of the job. Microsoft’s account does not give details of the statistic’s methodology.
Discuss: Should companies prioritise redesigning work around AI, or first prove that the tools improve the work they already do?
