Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta’s announced device line puts its Muse assistant into glasses and a wearable charm, with its new VR glasses due in spring 2027 at $1,299. The glasses weigh about a fifth as much as a Quest 3, according to Meta, but send computing, battery and storage to a pocket-sized tethered device.
Why it mattersMeta also says its smart glasses will gain hands-free access to Muse, while the two-inch Muse Charm is expected in December 2026. The product details come from Built In’s explainer on Meta’s AI devices. The headline is less “AI replaces your phone tomorrow” and more “AI is getting a new place to live, at a premium price”.
Discuss: Would you accept a tether and a $1,299 bill for lighter VR glasses, or should wearable AI earn its place without either?
