Microsoft says several AI features for Dynamics 365 Sales have reached general availability, including four sales-related agents, an MCP Server and an in-app AI Hub for managing agents. The changes offer CRM customers concrete options for adding AI, while leaving room to move at their own pace.

What happened

At Community Summit North America 2026, Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 Sales product management lead Mike Morton described the roadmap as balancing core CRM improvements with AI agents, according to MSDynamicsWorld.com’s conference report.

Morton said the MCP Server, four sales-related agents and AI Hub are now generally available. The report also lists Sales in Outlook Mobile and new data-enrichment features as generally available. Microsoft is also discussing Work IQ, Copilot Cowork and other Cowork experiences with Dynamics 365, alongside agents that are already available or in preview.

Why it matters

The AI Hub gives organisations an in-app place to manage agents, while the MCP Server and pre-built sales agents add ways to connect AI capabilities to CRM work. That makes this more than a roadmap full of future tense: the report identifies features Microsoft says customers can use now.

Not every business is ready to hand sales workflows to agents. Morton said Microsoft is offering flexibility for organisations that want core app improvements without turning agents on. Useful, because “AI-ready” is not a switch every CRM team is keen to flip on Monday morning.

Our read

The practical news is the mix: some AI agent features are generally available, while other capabilities remain in preview or on the roadmap. For Dynamics 365 Sales customers, the sensible next step is to check which features are available in their environment and decide whether any solve a real workflow problem. The conference report describes availability, not customer results, so adoption is not proof of value.

What to watch

  • Which of the generally available features customers adopt, and for what sales tasks.
  • What Microsoft adds to the roadmap for Dynamics 365 and Copilot Cowork.
  • Whether the AI Hub helps organisations manage agents without making deployment harder.

Discussion spark: Should CRM providers make AI agents opt-in until customers can show a clear benefit, or should they be enabled by default as the tools mature?
