Kling 4.0 is available through five platforms, but the price of a short clip varies sharply by service and resolution. Higgsfield’s comparison puts a five-second, text-only clip at about $0.62 on Kling AI at 720p, rising to $2.83 through the Runway app at 1080p.

What happened

Higgsfield’s 27 October guide compares Kling 4.0 access through Kling AI, Higgsfield, fal.ai, Runway and OpenArt. It also says Higgsfield, fal.ai and Runway offer API access, while Kling’s own API is still marked as coming soon.

For a like-for-like price comparison, the guide uses a five-second, 16:9 clip generated from a text prompt, without reference images or video. It estimates 720p and 1080p costs at about $0.62 and $0.93 on Kling AI, $0.67 and $0.98 on Higgsfield, and $0.79 and $1.18 through fal.ai or the Runway API. Runway’s app is listed at about $2.83 for 1080p; the guide gives no 720p app price.

Higgsfield says its prices were checked in October 2026 and may change. Adding reference material can also raise the cost, so these figures are a comparison, not a promise at checkout. Read Higgsfield’s platform and pricing guide.

Why it matters

A model’s name tells you what can generate the video; it does not tell you where it is available, whether you can use it through an API, or what each generation will cost. Those details matter if you are comparing services or building a workflow around one platform.

The guide’s useful wrinkle is that the cheapest route depends on what you want. Kling AI is the lowest-priced option in its comparison, while Higgsfield bundles Kling with other image and video models on one credit balance. Convenient, perhaps, but convenience has a line item too.

Our read

This is a handy buyer’s guide, with the usual caveat that its comparison comes from Higgsfield, which sells access to Kling 4.0 itself. Treat the listed prices as a starting point, check the current plan and generation settings, and compare the cost of the workflow you will actually use, not just one tidy five-second prompt.

What to watch

  • Whether Kling launches its own API access.
  • Whether listed prices or plan limits change.
  • How reference images, video and longer clips affect the final cost.

Discussion spark: Would you choose the cheapest platform for Kling 4.0, or pay more to keep it inside a creative suite you already use?
