Monday.com has launched Harmony, a voice AI platform that calls sales leads, qualifies them and passes promising prospects to human representatives. The notable twist is a set of small, task-specific models designed to handle separate jobs, rather than one general-purpose model doing everything.

What happened

Harmony is aimed at mid-market and large businesses in the US, UK, Australia and Singapore. Its agents can place and route calls, follow up with leads, record consent and write notes to customer relationship management systems including Salesforce and HubSpot. The company says agents disclose that they are AI by default.

Monday.com says the system responds in about 200 milliseconds. One early customer, UK car finance broker Bright Car Finance, says it closed 9% more deals in less than a year using Harmony. The report says the broker previously converted about 5% of approved applications into finance agreements; it does not clarify how the 9% increase was calculated. The launch details were reported by The Next Web.

Why it matters

This is AI taking on a real, bounded sales task: calling and qualifying leads, then handing selected prospects to staff. The claimed speed and customer result make the pitch more concrete than a chatbot promising to transform everything from your inbox to the national mood.

There is a practical trade-off, too. Automating calls may help businesses follow up faster, but the value depends on whether customers find the conversations useful and whether the hand-off to a person works well. The reported customer result is encouraging, though it is one company’s account, not a broad comparison.

Our read

Harmony is worth watching because it combines specialised models with phone infrastructure and CRM hand-offs, rather than stopping at a convincing synthetic voice. Businesses considering it should ask how performance is measured, what callers can do when they want a person, and what the service costs. That last answer is not in the launch report, which leaves the business case only partly assembled.

What to watch

  • Whether Monday.com publishes pricing and more detail on how Harmony measures call outcomes.
  • Whether the company reports results from more customers, with a clear comparison period.
  • How the platform handles caller consent, requests for a human and unsuccessful calls.

Discussion spark: Would you trust an AI agent to qualify sales calls before passing you to a person, or should the first conversation always be with a human?
